Count Your Blessings

There are so many things that we take for granted on a daily basis. If you wake up alive and healthy, you are blessed beyond measure. If you have a home, clothes and food on the table, you are well off than many other people in America and in this world. It is very easy to get caught up in all of these wants and superficial things of the world. It is easy to thank God for all of the extras he gives us, but how often to you stop and thank Him for all of the basic necessities? It is important to be thankful for good health. For good food. For supportive family and friends. There are a lot of things we take for granted now but we would miss if they were taken away from us. That is why we should thank God every day for all we have and for the safety of ourselves and our loved ones. There will be trials and hardships but with God’s love and mercy we will overcome them. Thank God for all of the lessons that He gives us, in addition to all of the blessings. Often, I  looking up at heaven and thank God for my safety and for the well-being of my family. Even if we’re not all well all the time. Even when I or my husband are sick, I still thank God for keeping us alive and allowing us to wake up to another day. I like to appreciate every little thing that He has blessed me with so graciously. We, as sinful human beings, deserve nothing and are worthless without God and that is why we should constantly praise God instead of relying on ourselves. Remember who is King and remember to always be grateful; and fear what He can do.
